Sizewell Scud imagines the impact that over a decade of Sizewell C construction will have on air quality in this area. Impacts include 10,000 extra vehicle journeys/day, shipping, diesel generators for a desalination plant, the dust of its excavations and creation of 35 meter high ‘spoil piles’.
Thousands of people die from air pollution every year in the UK with small particulates (PM2.5) - generated, for example, by vehicle exhausts and road, brake & tyre wear - being particularly dangerous as there are no safe levels for exposure to PM2.5.
East Anglia also suffers at times from high ground level ozone  pollution during summer heatwaves, which are typically  higher than anywhere else in the country.
Sizewell C construction traffic, in particular, poses a huge additional risk to local people’s health, particularly to children living or going to school near the A12 and other roads leading to Sizewell, and to the elderly and the sick.
Act now to ensure the Scud doesn’t come to us.

How to use Sizewell Scud:

Not suitable for asthmatics or those suffering from bronchial diseases.
The young, elderly, pregnant and those taking part in sporting activities should seek medical advice prior to inhalation, and breathe alternative air sources wherever possible. Air pollution stunts the growth of lungs, affects intelligence & raises the risk of asthma, lung disease, cancer, stroke and heart failure. It is also linked to incidence of mental illness, dementia, diabetes and poor birth outcomes.

In the likely event of your suffering any adverse effects from inhalation of this product, seek medical advice immediately. Scientists estimate that air pollution could be responsible for 36,000 deaths in the UK every year.

Breathing is undertaken strictly at the user’s own risk.
